Every day the Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts several events for the public to learn more about the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center and marine life. On Saturday mornings, the center hosts a Kids Fishing Program aimed for children ages 8 through 12.

Participants in the Fishing Program will learn the techniques and tricks to fishing from the Juno Beach Pier. The program will teach and explain the concepts of fishing, casting, fish handling, knot tying, and the proper catch and release techniques.  The program will also include information on how to be ethical anglers and reduce their impact on marine life.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a Kids Fishing Program every Saturday morning until April 2021. Participants will learn the basic techniques for fishing from the Juno Beach Pier.

The program is recommended for children ages 8 through 12 and the program will teach and explain the concepts of fishing, knot tying, casting, fish handling, and the proper catch and release techniques used. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts its recurring Public Guided Tours twice a day this fall. The tours are offered seven days a week and gives visitors an up-close opportunity to visit the sea turtles housed at the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center.

The Public Guided Tours are open to the public and all are welcomed to attend. Due to limited capacity, reservations are strongly suggested to reserve your spot.  The tours last approximately an hour and are offered at 12 pm and 2 pm daily.

The tours are led by the educational staff and experts of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and will be there to answer all of your questions about marine life and sea turtles.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers a unique program that allows you to Adopt a Sea Turtle. The program helps benefit the continuous care and treatment for the sick, endangered, and injured sea turtles.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit sea turtle research, rehabilitation center and sea turtle hospital whose mission is aimed to protect the ocean and all that live in it. The Marinelife Center provides treatment and care for endangered and injured sea turtles before being released into the ocean.

This August, The Loggerhead Marinelife Center located in Juno Beach hosts their daily Public Evening Guided Tours. The tours are offered every night and take visitors on an after-hours tour of the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center. Visitors will get an up-close opportunity to see the Marinelife and sea turtles housed in the center.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is a popular destination for locals and visitors. The iconic red lighthouse sits on top of a midden shell mound on the northern side of the Jupiter Inlet. The location was chosen in 1853 when Congress authorized the construction of the lighthouse tower. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is located between the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse to the north and the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse to the south.  This year the Lighthouse celebrated its 160th Anniversary in July and had a huge celebration to celebrate the milestone.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is asking for your help and to join in for a weekly beach cleanup. The Self-Guided Beach Cleanup is a new program that has been added to their calendar every Saturday morning.

During the month of August stop by the Marine Debris Sorting Station on the back deck of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to pick up your Beach Cleanup supplies. Once all the supplies have been picked up, head down to the beach and help keep our beaches clean. After the self-guided cleanup, bring your full bag of trash back to the sorting station and receive a free t-shirt for helping.

Living in South Florida has its many benefits and for some, boating is a popular activity that happens every day. Since 2010, the state of Florida requires that any person who wishes to operate a vessel with more than ten horsepower or more and is born after January 1st, 1988 must complete and pass a boater safety course.

The state does not have a “Boating License” but a Boater Safety Identification Card stating that the course is completed and a successful score on the end of the class exam. Florida’s Boater Identification card is valid for life and no renewal fee’s or course renewal is required. The state and course instructors ask that you review your notes and keep up with the latest boating rules and regulations.

The Juno Beach Fishing Pier is one of Palm Beach County’s popular attractions for both locals and visitors for great fishing and a great ocean view.

The fishing pier is a T-shaped and is 990-feet long. The pier offers visitors great saltwater fishing, a full-service Pier House that features snacks, drinks, bags of ices, a gift shop, fishing gear, tackles and fishing pole rentals to name a few.
