Every Monday during the month of September, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts their weekly Twilight Yoga At The Light event.

The popular event is open for all level of yoga and the class is taught by Yoga instructor Mary Veal. The class begins at sunset and you get to experience the serenity and relaxation of yoga on the Lighthouse deck.

If you plan on attending, you’ll need to bring your Yoga mat, a water bottle, and a flashlight. The class will meet 10 minutes prior to the starting time of the class. The classes are weather dependent and last approximately an hour, check their website for more updates.

This month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular Hike Through History event this Saturday, September 7th.

Come and join the staff and hike through the 120 plus acres of the Lighthouse Natural Conservation Area to learn about the history of the historic site, the nature and the Lighthouse. The hike is roughly about 2 miles. The historic site is just one of three naturals sites in the United States and the site is protected by the Bureau of Land Management’s Natural Conservation Land Programs.

Every month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts their popular Jupiter Climb and Paddle event a few times a month. This September, the first Climb and Paddle is this Tuesday, September 3rd.

The adventure starts are the Lighthouse with a climb to the top to see the views of Jupiter and the surrounding areas. To climb to the top of the Lighthouse Tower, you must be able to climb up 105 steps to the top.

Following the climb to the top, the Jupiter Outdoor Center guides will take you either by paddle boards or kayaks on a journey around the intracoastal waterways and the Jupiter Inlet. Along your journey, manatees, sea turtles, birds and other wildlife have been spotted during the Climb and Paddle events.

Next Saturday is the 6th Annual Chase N Tailz Fishing Tournament taking place at Harbourside Place in Jupiter.

The Fishing Tournament is for all ages and benefits a local children’s charity that funds families with very sick children.

The tournament starts at 6:30 am on Saturday, September 7th and those who wish to participate can go out of any inlet they choose, and launch form any boat ramp. Those who start before the 6:30 am start time will be disqualified from the tournament.

Weigh in starts at 2pm and goes until 4 pm. All boats that are participating must be checked in with the tournament check in boat at the Jupiter Inlet no later than 4 pm. The weigh in stage is located at Harbourside Place and the fish must be bought in by boat and must have a…

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is preparing this week to release another healthy sea turtle back into the ocean.

Willis, is a large juvenile loggerhead sea turtle that was found in the canal at the Florida Power and Light’s St. Lucie site in Jensen Beach. The sea turtle was found with saltwater leeches and barnacles on its shell and was slightly underweight and its bloodwork showed signs of poor health.

This Wednesday, Willis will be released back into the Atlantic Ocean at 10:30 am. Pre-release procedures will begin at 10 am. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff will go over the turtles injures and recovery since Willis first entered the center back in June.

Pelican Club, Jupiter’s newest waterfront venue for events and weddings is open and located along the water with direct views of the lighthouse and the Jupiter Inlet.

The venue opened its doors official in April and already had numerous events and more lined up throughout the year. The Pelican Club is part of the Lessling’s Hospitality Group, a high-end venue company from New York that cater to more than 1,200 weddings a year.

Jupiter was picked as their next location because of its scenic view and prime location. The Pelican Club is a unique venue that focuses exclusively on weddings, social gatherings and special events.
