Every spring the waterfront of West Palm Beach transforms into a four-day popular musical festival featuring some of the world’s biggest bands and musical performers. The Sunfest Music Festival is coming to West Palm Beach Thursday, April 30th through Sunday, May 3rd.

Recently, the performance schedule and musical lineup has been announced. Some of the biggest named stars performing include Darius Rucker, The Revivalists, Adam Lambert, Sea Paul, Nelly, Ne-Yo, Melissa Etheridge, AJR, Cage The Elephant and much more.

Rapids Water Park, one of Palm Beach County’s most popular attraction is opening for the Spring and Summer season this weekend. Rapids Water Park is the largest water park in all of South Florida with more than 30 acres of waterslides, pools, splash zones, and much more. Last year, the park celebrated its 40th Anniversary.

The water park is divided into three sections: Thrill Rides, Kid’s Zone and Family Zones. The Thrill Ride section features some of the biggest waterslides in the park with big twists and turns, 45-degree angle drops and two 70-foot-high enclosed flume water slides. Head to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum this weekend for their popular Hike Through History event.

Hike Through History includes a 2- mile journey through the 120 acres of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. Along the hiking journey, guests will have a chance to learn about the history and the grounds that was shaped by nature.

The hike is open to all and children must be 5 years old or older and accompanied by an adult to attend. Hiking gear such as active wear clothing, proper hiking footwear, a hat, sunscreen and a full bottle or canteen of water are suggested for the hike.

It’s a wreck out there – a shipwreck!  A couple hundred feet off the Delray Beach Municipal Beach lies the “S.S. Inchulva”.  The ship went down in the historical hurricane of 1903. This sunken steel-hulled freighter has become a very popular diving location in South Florida, and it is excellent for the beginner diver. The nearly 400-foot freighter rests in only 25 feet of water and is a great dive or snorkeling spot.

 The "S.S. Inchulva" set sail from England in July 1903, bound for Galveston to receive a shipment of agricultural products. In what became its final voyage, the ship left Galveston Sept. 6 with a cargo of wheat, lumber and cotton. Its destination was Newport News, Virginia.  It is not known if the ship was aware of a hurricane…

Every Monday evening, The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts their popular Twilight at the Light yoga event. The event takes place at sunset at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum’s grounds.

All are welcomed to come and join in on the serenity of the yoga class taught by Mary Veal of Breathe Salt Yoga in Jupiter. The class is taught on the Lighthouse Deck at begins at sunset approximately at 6 pm.

If you plan on attending, please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle and a flashlight to the class. The outdoor yoga class is weather dependent, check their website for updates if weather is bad. Due to the popularity to the event, you are asked to arrive early and meet 10 minutes prior to the classes start time at the Museum’s Flagpole.

This weekend, the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is hosting three Preseason Baseball games for everyone in the family to enjoy.

The Roger Dean Stadium is the only one of two stadiums in Florida to host two Major League teams during their Spring Training. The two Minor League Teams include the Jupiter Hammerheads and the Palm Beach Cardinals. The stadium in Jupiter is home to the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins Spring Training.

The teams share the field for games but have their own practice fields, outdoor batting cages, numerous pitching mounds, and state of the art conditioning rooms. The Town of Juno Beach hosts their monthly Juno Beach Food Truck event at Juno Beach Park on the last Wednesday of every month.

Head to Juno Beach Park this Wednesday, February 26th for the ultimate outdoor picnic featuring delicious gourmet meals starting at 3:30 pm. Every meal is prepared and made to order and the food trucks do not serve fast food.

Admission to Food Truck Day is free with food and beverage purchases. There is plenty of parking on site and nearby the park. Pets are welcomed to attend on leashes.

The Palm Beach Zoo and Conversation Society is a non-profit zoo and is one of the top-rated zoological organizations in the state of Florida. The popular Palm Beach Zoo is located in Dreher Park in West Palm Beach.

Downtown Palm Beach Gardens, formerly known as the Downtown at the Gardens is hosting their reoccurring Friday and Saturday Outdoor Concert Series this weekend.

The free weekly outdoor concert is held in the Center Court of the shopping and lifestyle center. The musical lineup features regional and local bands performing the latest hits. The bands play everything from country, classic rock, pop, jazz, oldies, blues, R&B, and everything in between.

The concert starts at 6 pm in the Center Court and last until 9 pm.
