Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton is offering guided tours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. through June 25 with advanced reservations.

Time to connect with nature and it has never been more interesting and fun than the Daggerwing Nature Center. It has so many opportunities for youngsters and their families to take advantage of being outside.  Daggerwing is located within Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park, 11435 Park Access Road in West Boca Raton. 

Daggerwing presents a 3,000-square-foot exhibit hall with live animals, butterfly garden, and an art gallery. Outdoors, the nature center, offers a raised boardwalk with two trails. Take a breather on your walk at the safe observation tower and you might see turtles or an alligator.  You are sure to catch a glimpse of as ospreys, woodpeckers, and butterflies, including the nature centers namesake, Ruddy Daggerwing butterfly.

Every month, the Loxahatchee River Center in Jupiter pairs up with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide a series of Boating Safety Course aimed for young boaters in our community. The classes are aimed for young boaters however, all are welcomed to learn more about safety on the water.

The next Boating Safety Class is happening this Saturday and Sunday and the course is completely virtual. The class will be online and taught in a lecture style class. The two-day class is free to attend but a deposit of $10 dollars is asked to hold your spot in the class. The deposit will be returned once the course is over. At the end of the two-day virtual class an exam will be given to those that participated and the young boaters will…

Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, June 10th, the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is hosting three baseball games this weekend in Jupiter.  The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is home to two Minor League Baseball Teams, The Palm Beach Cardinals and The Jupiter Hammerheads. Jupiter residents are invited to attend Saturday morning, June 5, 2021, a FREE yoga class in the park. Cinquez Park is located at 2183 West Indiantown Road in the Town of Jupiter.  All levels of yoga practice experience are welcome with beginners and first timers encouraged to join Saturday at 9:00am.  Classes will continue through June 12, 2021.

Mark your calendar to take the family out for a fun night under the stars. The City of West Palm Beach presents FREE Friday night family-friendly movies at Waterfront Commons, 101 South Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Waterfront Commons is in Downtown West Palm Beach.

The second Friday of every month, the City sets up an open-air movie theater. The “Screen on the Green” series features family activities and movies overlooking the spectacular waterfront of downtown. Head to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum on Monday nights for their popular and reoccurring Twilight Yoga at the Light. Enjoy the peace and serenity of yoga while enjoying the incredible sunset views over Jupiter.

The yoga class is completely outdoors and is taught by the wonderful Yoga instructor Mary Veal on the Lighthouse Deck. All levels of yoga are welcomed and encouraged to attend the event. The class costs $10 dollars and all of those who wish to participate are asked to bring their own yoga mat, and their own water bottle.

The class is weather dependent, for updates check out their social media pages or their website. Registration is required prior to the event due to limited space on the Lighthouse Deck.
