The Royal Poinciana Plaza is excited to announce the return of SoulCycle. The series is part of the popular cycling studio’s SoulOutside by SoulCycle. Starting next week, SoulCycle is heading back to Palm Beach.

Classes being on Wednesday, December 23rd at the Royal Poinciana Plaza.  This will be SoulCycle’s third time in Palm Beach since they began their Destination Soul program a few years ago. Destination Soul brings SoulCycle cycling classes to area where there is not a studio.

Through the new SoulOutside series, SoulCycle is taking their 45-minute indoor cycle class outdoors. The classes will take place seven days a week during the winter at The Royal Poinciana Playhouse behind the outdoor shopping and lifestyle center.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas on Palm Beach Island. The Flagler Museum has transformed into a Christmas wonderland as part of their annual holiday tradition, Christmas at Whitehall.

During the holiday season, the first floor of Whitehall, also known as The Flagler Museum, is decorated in traditional Gilded Age holiday decorations. The main focal point of the holiday décor is the large 16-foot Christmas tree in the Grand Hall, filled with Gilded Age style ornaments and colored lights. The exterior and front gates of the grand estate are decorated with holiday wreathes and lights.

The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society has partnered together with Florida Power and Light Company to present Zoo Lights this holiday season.

Zoo Lights has quickly became a South Florida holiday tradition for families and friends. After hours, while the animals are sleeping, the Palm Beach Zoo will be illuminated for the holiday season. The zoo will be decorated with over 1 million eco-friendly lights every night.

Zoo Lights will be aglow from 6 pm to 9 pm with unique lights and theme displays from the entrance through the Florida Wetlands, Tropics of Americas and new to this year, Asia. Santa will be stopping by this year through December 23rd for your photo opportunity. Zoo Lights will feature special animal encounters and special treats.

A new artificial reef program has started off the coast of Palm Beach. This past Monday, November 16th, 55 artificial reefs were deployed off the coast as part of the new project called 1,000 Mermaids that works with the Ocean Rescue Alliance. 

The new project is an artificial reef project that creates reef module to make more habitat on the bottom of the ocean for marine life. The artificial reefs arrived to the Port of Palm Beach on Friday of last week and the reefs were received and picked up to start the project. The non-profit, Ocean Rescue Alliance says that reef builders, and donations helped to make these artificial reef structures possible.

On Tuesday’s throughout the month of October and beginning of November, The Flagler Museum hosts live Piano and Organ demonstrations. Head to Palm Beach Island’s grand elegant estate and take a self-guided tour throughout the Gilded Age-era mansion while enjoying live musical performances.

The live performances begin at 1:30 pm on Tuesday afternoons through November 10th. Professional musicians will be performing live music on instruments original to the home. The music room has a J.H. & C.S. Odell Co organ and the Drawing rooms has Mary Lily Flagler’s custom Steinway Model B grand piano. The musical performances are different each week.

Registered voters in the State of Florida have the opportunity to vote a few weeks early ahead of the 2020 Election. Early voting in Florida opens Monday, October 19th through Sunday, November 1st.  Hours and dates may vary based on where you live.

Early voting is when a person casts a ballot prior to Election Day at a location designated by the Supervisor of Elections. Early voting is required in any election that contains a state or federal office race. Early voting sites must be no earlier than 30 days prior to the election.

How to Vote Early:

Registered voter wishing to vote early must bring a valid photo identification and a signature identification.  Voters can vote at any early voting site within the county in which they live in.

While the beach has historically been a good place for casual wear, the 1910 motorboat races in Palm Beach provided a place to see and be seen, as you can see in this image of the spectators by Bain News Service.

The Palm Beach Motor Boat Regatta was held annually by the Palm Beach Power Boat Association. Palm Beach society and high society from northern states would  set up chairs and umbrellas on Palm Beach to watch "speedy" motor boats race at a speed around 20 miles per hour.
