The Norton Museum of Art was founded in 1941 by Ralph H Norton and his wife Elizabeth. Norton was an industrialist in Chicago who headed the Acme Steel Company. The museum came about because him and his wife used to collect items and art to decorate their home.

The couple retired in 1935 and began spending more time in Palm Beach County. Not knowing what to do with their giant art collection and sculptures they decided to create their own museum in West Palm Beach. Construction began on the Norton Gallery and the School of Art in 1940 in West Palm Beach and opened a year later to the public in February of 1941.

Hoffman’s Chocolates turns into a Winter Wonderland every holiday season.

The chocolate factory transforms overnight and features more than 100,000 LED holiday lights, amazing holiday displays, a giant 12-foot Christmas tree, chocolate making classes, Menorah Lighting ceremonies, photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and much more. There will also be a Holiday Ice Skating Rink located in the front of the factory.

Winter Wonderland is open every night expect Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from now until December 30th. Santa Claus will be in the gardens every night through December 23rd from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Riverbend Park in Jupiter is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located on Indiantown Road.

The park is a little over 665 acres and recently has undergone some renovations to improve the park. The new improvements this year are an observation area, outdoor picnic pavilion, new kayak launching stations, parking lot and more.

The popular Pineapple Festival is returning this weekend in downtown Jensen Beach. This 30-year old festival is one of the largest in the region and one of the few remaining true street festivals in South Florida.

Produced by the Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce, the initial Pineapple Festival was held in 1988 in concurrence with the Jensen Beach Centennial Celebration. In 1990 Jensen Beach teamed up with Gregory Town, Eleuthera, Bahamas to start a popular attraction at the festival each year to have an authentic Bahamian Market that features island music, crafts and the Junkanoo parade. On the 4th Friday of every month, The Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce hosts their reoccurring Hobe Sound Chow Down.
