A fun and family friendly event for people of all ages happening December 2nd in the evening is a two-hour kayak and paddleboard tour at the Jupiter Inlet Aquatic Preserve. The tour begins before dusk so you can cruise leisurely through the Intracoastal Waterway as the sunsets and the stars come out.

On this unique tour of Jupiter’s waterways you will get an upclose look at the Jupiter Lighthouse, mangrove islands, estuaries, and the inlet. You will see an abundance of native wildlife like gentle manatees, turtles, fish, pelicans and sometimes even a dolphin. As the night falls, you will get to stargaze with your naked eye and see all that the Jupiter night sky has to offer.

Taking place on November 26th, 2017 at Jupiter’s Carlin Park is the 3rd Annual Surf Dog Classic. This fun and pet oriented event is one of the only events around town that you can watch pups of all sizes catch a wave. 

The original date for the event was in August but was postponed due to the hurricane impacts. So, now with a holiday time date, your pets can get a photo with Santa Claus and there will even be a “Bark and Brunch” for the pets and people. The dog surfing will begin at 8:30am and will go on until 11:00am. The proceeds of the 3rd Annual Surf Dog Classic will go to the Furry Friends Adoption Clinic & Ranch of Jupiter.

The Jupiter Lighthouse Museum is offering a program called “Hike Through History.” This fun and educational program allows guests to discover the topography and natural history of Jupiter’s national conservation land and historical sites.  

You will hike 2 miles across the 120 acre Jupiter Lighthouse natural area that is full of beautiful landscape and wildlife. An educated guide will explain different species of animals and plants as well as the history and topography of the land. The hike begins at the flagpole beneath the lighthouse and ventures throughout the natural area. The Book of Mormon, a hilarious Tony Awarding Winning Musical, is coming to the Kravis Center for Performing Arts, in West Palm Beach this month.

The musical follows the journey of a mismatched pair of Missionaries across the world to try to promote and spread the “Good Word”. The two are sent to Uganda to preach the Mormon religion. The young men soon find themselves challenged by the lack of intertest they receive from the locals, who are preoccupied with more concerning troubles and times.

The musical and song lyrics are written by Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and Robert Lopez, who are best known for creating the animated comedy South Park. The musical premiered on Broadway in 2011 and has been a successful hit ever since.

Local restaurants and breweries have joined together to bring delicious cuisine and drinks to the event.
