Come celebrate the start of Hanukkah in downtown Delray Beach on December 12th. A special tradition, the lighting of the first candle on the Menorah will be at sundown on Tuesday (around 5:30 p.m.).

The ceremonial lighting will take place on the grounds of Old School Square Park. It will be held right in front of the famous 100-foot tall Christmas tree. The huge tree is also a tradition in Delray, and it is a festivity for the people in the area. You can walk through the 100-foot Christmas tree and see different scenes like Santa's Workshop, a reindeer barn, and Twas the Night Before Christmas house. Travel & Leisure Magazine has named the tree the best Christmas tree in Florida.

It’s the holiday season and downtown West Palm Beach is putting together the third annual Ugly Holiday Sweater Crawl.

For the past two years, hundreds of adults gathered together dressed in ugly holiday sweaters and other festive holiday gear to head out for a night of bar-hopping and fun to celebrate the wonderful holiday season with friends and neighbors.

With the busy holiday season upon us, take some time to de-stress and paint at the farm! Sons & Daughters Farm and Winery in Lake Worth is offering a wine glass painting class for you to use your creative expression and unwind. 

Amanda Hills of Creative Experiences will be hosting a night of painting, chatting, and relaxing at the beatiful farm. Decorate wine glasses with holiday themes or whatever you want! Materials and glasses will be provided- all you need to bring is yourself. Wine, beer, and kombucha brewed by Sons & Daughters will of course be available.

A holiday-time event that is unique to Southern Florida is the Boat Parade. All throughout southern Florida’s waterways local boat owners decorate their vessels with millions of lights to celebrate the holiday season. The glistening boats line up and parade throughout the waterways for local spectators to watch. This year is the 45th Annual Boynton Beach Boat Parade. 

The parade will begin on Friday, December 8th at 6:00pm. “This flotilla of brightly-decorated boats will line up at the Lantana Bridge near Old Key Lime House and motor south along the Intracoastal Waterway to the C-15 canal in Delray. Bring your family to the Holiday Village Spectacular this Saturday, December 9th from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Hosted at the lovely Legacy Place in Palm Beach Gardens, the Holiday Village Spectacular will feature performances, holiday treats like hot cocoa and ginger bread cookies, Santa and other holiday characters, holiday crafts and other fun things for the little ones like giant slides and face painting.
