As the dolphin has continued to stay strong all year round, the last couple of days have been no different as the bite is still on fire! Some dolphin reports coming out of Palm Beach have said that they are in the range of 150’-300’ of water and in good numbers. Mainly small dolphin in the 5-10lb range but there are a few bulls in the mix. Trolling with ballyhoo or just drifting live baits will get their attention. Sailfish are coming in and making things a bit more interesting and boats have spotted these sails every day, multiple times per day. At the 120’ ledge in Juno  Beach, the cobias are swimming around in fair numbers. Snapper fishing is also very good when using the top baits such as sardines to hook up good size…

The official start of the right whale calving season starts this Saturday, November 15. From the beginning of November, right whales have been migrating south to the Florida coast to give birth to their young, where the water temperature is warmer. During the time from November to April, the right whales will migrate between the feeding areas from New England and Canada and their calving area off the Florida coast.

Together, a group of awe-inspiring local kite surfers and an incredible photographer created, Kiting for Kids, an organization that originated in Jupiter, Florida as a way for the kite surfing and the beach community to pay it forward to children battling cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

Kiting for Kids began last year and had beaches join from Australia to the Bahamas, this year local businesses and families will collect toys and bring them to Kiting for Kids toy drive that will be held on December 6, 2014 at Jupiter Beach, Stairway 33. The toy collection will be from noon onward and famously “The Grinch” will be there to take pictures with the kids.

Fishing Report 11.07.14

The weather forecast in the southeast region of Florida for this weekend may leave the ocean on the rougher side. As for Friday and Saturday, it will be the nicer of the days and Sunday will pick up some breeze and cause the marine forecast to be a bit bumpier. That being said it is predicted to be a fishy weekend!

OFFSHORE-
The north winds will be in the forecast causing the sailfish action! Search for the best action to be between 150’-300’ if your out of both Palm Beach and Jupiter inlets for the sailfish. Around the same areas, Dolphin fishing has been really good and showing up in great numbers along with a mixed assortment of other decent size fish. Kite fishing with live blue runners should definitely produce some hard bites…
