Uber is a private mobile transportation network app that allows consumers to request transportation from drivers.  Founded in 2009, Uber has expanded its service to 53 countries and over 200 cities worldwide.  It is like a cab service but the drivers use their own personal cars.

Uber is now available in South Florida. The ride sharing company launched its app-based service in Miami last summer.  It has expanded its service and is available in the West Palm Beach and Jupiter areas.  Prices are averaging 25% less than taxi’s. After requesting a ride, a photo of the driver will flash up on your smartphone, letting you know who the driver is and the make of vehicle.

The service allows users to tap the app on their smart phone to call for a vehicle,…

The soft sand, the cool breeze, warm waters, sense of perspective, the blazing sun, the turquoise water colors and waves crashing the sea shells onshore simply explains there is nothing quite the same as the beaches in South Florida. There are benefits from the beach that people flock to get what the shores provide. Some South Florida medical professionals and beachgoers offered their perceptions on the beach that may benefit from physical and psychological.

  • The sand is gentle and the grains alone can help individuals unwind as the soft sand massages between the toes. For those who care about nutrition, taste and quality of their fruits, vegetables, meats and poultry, local farms are selling through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) memberships.  With a significant shift in nutrition awareness, genetically modified and processed foods have become less desirable.  There is a huge misconception that local organic fruits and vegetables are more expensive.  CSA memberships and community plots keep costs down.

CSA's generally focus on the production of high quality foods for a local community, often using organic or biodynamic farming methods, and a shared risk membership–marketing structure.  The essential design includes developing a consistent consumer group that is willing to fund a whole season’s budget in…

Try something different and go stargazing!  Experience the natural beauty that is the South Florida night sky.  Stargazing is the simply the act of observing stars, moons, planets and other objects in the night sky.  Humans have been observing the stars for thousands of years.  All that is needed is a clear sky away from the bright lights of the city.  Aficionados bring charts, binoculars and telescopes to see distant stars and constellations.

There are 88 constellations that can be seen from almost anywhere in the United States, but not all at once.  As the Earth makes its orbit, the placement of stars in the sky appears to move.

This weekend, telescopes are scheduled to be set up for the public to…
