On the second Friday of every month, the City of West Palm Beach shows free movies on the waterfront! In downtown West Palm at the the Waterfront Commons, the city turns the huge lawn area into an outdoor movie theater under the stars. They project free family-friendly movies and offer a special memory-making experience. 

This month, there will be a double feature on Friday, December 8th, airing "Frozen" and "The Grinch." The first movie starts at 6 p.m. Bring a blanket or chair and get cozy on the soft lawn under the evening sky. Concessions are on site including popcorn, snacks, and beverages.

In October 2017, Americans purchased homes at the fastest pace in a decade- a 6.2% monthly increase nationally, and a 16% monthly increase in Palm Beach County, according to the Florida Realtors Association.

Why are people buying?

One contributing factor could be the result of the national interest rate on 30-year fixed mortgages continuing to drop. Last week mortgage rates dropped from 3.95% to 3.92% in comparison to 4.03% in 2016 (National Association of Realtors). Historically, lower mortgage rates have helped drive home sales and those looking to refinance the market.

A healthy job market and low national unemployment rate of 4.1% could also be driving people to purchase homes. Palm Beach County currently has a strong economy with areas…

Get ready for this year's winter beer fest taking place this Saturday, December 2nd, at the South Florida Fair Grounds in West Palm Beach. President Trump is returning to his home at the exquisite Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach for the holiday. He is expected to arrive today around 5:15 p.m. and stay until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 26th.

Sandi, the world's only 600-ton sand tree, is returning to West Palm Beach! Sandi has become a magical tradition in the area, carrying a story every time she comes back into town, telling us about where she's been and what she's been doing the whole year. The Book of Mormon, a hilarious Tony Awarding Winning Musical, is coming to the Kravis Center for Performing Arts, in West Palm Beach this month.

The musical follows the journey of a mismatched pair of Missionaries across the world to try to promote and spread the “Good Word”. The two are sent to Uganda to preach the Mormon religion. The young men soon find themselves challenged by the lack of intertest they receive from the locals, who are preoccupied with more concerning troubles and times.

The musical and song lyrics are written by Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and Robert Lopez, who are best known for creating the animated comedy South Park. The musical premiered on Broadway in 2011 and has been a successful hit ever since.

The "Insane Inflatable 5k" is coming to West Palm Beach tomorrow! This is the world's largest inflatable obstacle course. It is a super fun 5k (3.1 mi) run that challenges participants with 11 blow-up obstacles throughout the track. They aren't small obstacles either- it's just something you have to see- you can check out a video here.
