This month on June 25th is the Tropical Fruit Festival at Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach. This special event focuses on the incredible tropical fruit trees of the area, showcasing the delicious fruits nature gives in Southern Florida. This Thursday in West Palm Beach is the 5th Annual “Pairings” Event of West Palm Beach. The event is a popular culinary happening that focuses on bringing together the best food and wine in the county. 

Hosted by the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, the West Palm Beach Pairings Event showcases 25 local restaurants and their artisanal creations. The event donates its proceeds to Families First of Palm Beach County, which is a non-profit, countywide service dedicated to the well being of children and families in the area. The program’s mission is to better families and their children through “high-quality programs in prevention, early intervention, child development, behavioral health, education and advocacy.”

Green Cay Wetlands and Nature Center in Boynton Beach is a gorgeous, big park offering tons of opportunity for outdoor adventure. Saturday, May 14th is the annual Save the Tiger 5K at the Palm Beach Zoo in West Palm Beach. Join the zoo in a passionate effort to help save the Malayan tiger. 

“The Malayan tiger is the most endangered of the 5 remaining species of tigers.  It's estimated that there are fewer than 250 in the wild.  The Palm Beach Zoo works closely with the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), supporting species and habitat research and protection at Endau-Rompin National Park in Malaysia. A portion of your race registration fee helps fund our involvement with WCS.”
