This Saturday, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their reoccurring Turtle Walks on Juno Beach. The Turtle Walks are a unique program that allows guest to learn about and observe the nesting process of a sea turtle.

Turtle Walks are led by the Loggerhead Marinelife Staff who will patrol the designated section of the beach while searching for the sea turtles. Those who attend the Turtle Walk will get a after hours look at the current patients in their outdoor sea turtle hospital. Once a loggerhead sea turtle is found by a staff member on the beach, you’ll be led down to the beach to witness the experience.

Registration is required for the event because due limited space. The State permits only can accommodate 30 people per night for the Turtle…

For the entire summer, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their Evening Guided Tours on Tuesday’s through Friday’s. The program was added to their calendar last year and has been extremely popular.

The Evening Tours gives visitors the ultimate experience during a special after-hours tour of the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center. The tours are led by an experienced member of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s staff.

The tour will be led through the exhibit hall to learn about the different sea turtle species and the various types of Marinelife found in the ocean. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting another Sea Turtle Sleepover this June. The sea turtle research and rehabilitation center added the new event to their calendar this year and due to the popularity of the event have added more dates throughout the year.

The Sea Turtle Sleepover is an exclusive event held at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach. The event is aimed for children ages 8 through 12 years old. The sleepover is a nighttime program that will feature a tour of the Sea Turtle Hospital, include children’s activities, scavenger hunts, and chances to meet the sea turtle patients. The night will also include an ocean themed movie with pizza, snacks and drinks.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is hosting their 8th Annual Run 4 The Sea 2019 on Saturday, June 15th. The 4-mile run supports the Center’s mission of sea turtle research and rehabilitation and ocean conservation.

The run is timed and will run along A1A in Juno Beach and Jupiter. The run is on June 15th and is open to all walkers and runners who wish to participate. Kids can join in on the fun and participate in the 1-mile Kids Fun Run that will start after the 4-mile run has begun. Parents can either cheer their child on or run with them at no additional charge. The cost for the Fun Run is $20 dollars per child and the cost includes the run, a child’s t-shirt and a medal.

Join the group from Blue Friends and Lynne Wells on the third Saturday of the month for the monthly Beach Clean Up. This Saturday, June 8th is the next clean up on Juno Beach.

The cleanup starts at 8:30 am and the cleanup last approximately an hour. Following will be a light breakfast provided and sponsored by Whole Foods Market in Palm Beach Gardens and Another Broken Egg Café in Jupiter. Complimentary coffee will be provided by Oceana Coffee.

You are asked to bring gloves, a bucket, closed toed shoes to help clean up the beach and help keep our beaches clean for the sea turtles and other Marinelife.

This Saturday marks the first summer Turtle Walk hosted by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The Turtle Walk is a unique program that allows visitors to observe and learn about the nesting and egg laying process of sea turtles that nest along the shores of Juno Beach.

The night is designated to a special section of the beach where the sea turtle nests are. Guests who attend will receive a brief presentation on the sea turtles and get to experience an after-hour tour to view the turtles housed in the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Once a loggerhead sea turtle is found on the beach and begins the egg laying process, the group is led down to the beach by Marinelife staff to witness the process.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers their daily Public Guided Tours of the Sea Turtle Research and Rehabilitation Center. The tours are offered seven days a week and visitors will get an up-close opportunity to see the Marinelife and sea turtles housed in the center.

The Public Guided Tours are open to the public and all are welcomed to attend. The tours last approximately an hour long. The next tour is today, Tuesday, May 21st at 2 pm.

The tours are led by the educational experts and staff of the Marinelife Center to answer all of your questions about the sea turtles and Marinelife.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is preparing to release another sea turtle into the ocean this Wednesday, May 22nd. The sea turtle research and rehabilitation center plan on release Corwin at 10:30 am.

Corwin was found on the beach in Juno Beach in September and is a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle. Corwin was found struggling in the surf on Juno Beach. After the staff from the center was contacted, Corwin was brought in and was underweight and in poor health. During its stay, the sea turtle received nutrition, iron and antibiotics and was closely monitored by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s staff. Earlier this month, Corwin was taken off of all medications and is now ready to be released back into the ocean.

The Juno Beach Pier and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center are hosting their 5th Annual Juno Beach Pier Photo Contest. Submissions will be accepted for the perfect photo of the Juno Beach Pier until Friday, May 31st

The Juno Beach Pier is a treasured icon in Palm Beach County and the pier is used by fishermen and women, tourists and locals who just want to get a good view of the ocean or catch some of the best fish in our area.

Last year, the contest brought contestants from all over Palm Beach County and more than 80 photo submissions and the photos got over 40,000 views on Facebook.

The photos of the pier must reveal one’s own “pier-spective” of the iconic Juno Beach Pier. All submissions will be uploaded to their Facebook page for the public and the…

On the third Saturday of every month, a group of Blue Friends and Lynne Wells join together for a beach clean-up in Juno Beach.

The clean up begins at 8:30 am this Saturday and following the 1 hour clean up a light breakfast will be provided by Whole Foods in Palm Beach Gardens and Another Broken Egg Café in Jupiter. Free coffee will be provided by Oceana Coffee.

The local beach cleanup started years ago when a group of volunteers gathered to pick up trash from the beach. Now the clean up has grown and over 200 volunteers come together several times a month to help keep our beaches and ocean clean from trash. More than 490 pounds are collected from our local beaches every month.
