Every Saturday morning, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center encourages locals and visitors to participate in their Self-Guided Beach Cleanups. The Self-Guided Beach Clean-Up is a new program this year and has been added to their weekly calendar.

Head to the beach on Saturday mornings, and while you are there stop by the Marine Debris Sorting Station on the back deck of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to pick up the beach up supplies. Once the supplies are picked up, volunteers can make their way down to the beach and help keep our beaches clean and the sea turtles safe. When finished, bring your bag back to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center Sorting Station and receive a free t-shirt for helping.

Everyday, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach hosts their Public Guided Tours for everyone to come and get an up-close look at the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center.

During the guided tours, visitors will learn about each sea turtle patients housed there, and the Marinelife Center staff will be there to answer your questions about sea turtles, marine life, and the center itself.

The tours are offered twice a day and cost $10 dollars for adults and $5 dollars for children under 8 years old. All are welcomed to attend. The tours are limited to a certain number of people and registration is required.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a Kids Fishing Program every Saturday morning until April 2021. Participants will learn the basic techniques for fishing from the Juno Beach Pier.

The program is recommended for children ages 8 through 12 and the program will teach and explain the concepts of fishing, knot tying, casting, fish handling, and the proper catch and release techniques used. In addition to learning new fishing skills, participants will also learn how to be ethical anglers and how o reduce their impact on marinelife.

The fish caught during the day will always be released. All fishing equipment and bait will be provided. Advanced registration is required to reserve a spot due to limited space.

Registered voters in the State of Florida have the opportunity to vote a few weeks early ahead of the 2020 Election. Early voting in Florida opens Monday, October 19th through Sunday, November 1st.  Hours and dates may vary based on where you live.

Early voting is when a person casts a ballot prior to Election Day at a location designated by the Supervisor of Elections. Early voting is required in any election that contains a state or federal office race. Early voting sites must be no earlier than 30 days prior to the election.

How to Vote Early:

Registered voter wishing to vote early must bring a valid photo identification and a signature identification.  Voters can vote at any early voting site within the county in which they live in.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts its recurring Public Guided Tours twice a day this fall. The tours are offered seven days a week and gives visitors an up-close opportunity to visit the sea turtles housed at the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center.

The Public Guided Tours are open to the public and all are welcomed to attend. Due to limited capacity, reservations are strongly suggested to reserve your spot.  The tours last approximately an hour and are offered at 12 pm and 2 pm daily.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers a unique program that allows you to Adopt a Sea Turtle. The program helps benefit the continuous care and treatment for the sick, endangered, and injured sea turtles.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit sea turtle research, rehabilitation center and sea turtle hospital whose mission is aimed to protect the ocean and all that live in it. With Palm Beach County School District starting classes on Monday, August 31st, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach has created a new program to help students and parents with virtual learning.  Every week, the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center will be hosting their Coastal Classroom.

The Coastal Classroom is a weekly event that will begin Monday, August 31st. The purpose of the Coastal Classroom is to help students, parents, and teachers with the remote virtual learning. Students are invited to complete their virtual schoolwork at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The Coastal Classroom is a safe in-person virtual learning space for students.

This August, The Loggerhead Marinelife Center located in Juno Beach hosts their daily Public Evening Guided Tours. The tours are offered every night and take visitors on an after-hours tour of the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center. Every night throughout the month of August, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts their Hatchling Release program.

The program is a unique experience that gives the public an insight and a chance to learn about the hatching and nesting process of sea turtles. The nightly program is an after-hours program and begins at 8 pm every night during the month.

The night begins where visitors can view the center’s current sea turtle patients in their outdoor Sea Turtle Hospital, followed by a trip down to the beach to see a Marinelife staff member release a sea turtle hatchling into the ocean.
