The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is hosting their 8th Annual Run 4 The Sea 2019 on Saturday, June 15th. The 4-mile run supports the Center’s mission of sea turtle research and rehabilitation and ocean conservation.

The run is timed and will run along A1A in Juno Beach and Jupiter. The run is on June 15th and is open to all walkers and runners who wish to participate. Kids can join in on the fun and participate in the 1-mile Kids Fun Run that will start after the 4-mile run has begun. Parents can either cheer their child on or run with them at no additional charge. The cost for the Fun Run is $20 dollars per child and the cost includes the run, a child’s t-shirt and a medal.

This Saturday, June 8th, is World Oceans Day where people around the world celebrate and honor the ocean.

Celebrations begin at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton on 9 am on Saturday and then again at noon on Sunday. The day’s activities include: coloring activities, learning experiences, games and activities, a chance to create recycles artwork, take a picture with the sea turtle mascot Luna, tour the Nature Center, Food trucks and much more.

Join the group from Blue Friends and Lynne Wells on the third Saturday of the month for the monthly Beach Clean Up. This Saturday, June 8th is the next clean up on Juno Beach.

The cleanup starts at 8:30 am and the cleanup last approximately an hour. Following will be a light breakfast provided and sponsored by Whole Foods Market in Palm Beach Gardens and Another Broken Egg Café in Jupiter. Complimentary coffee will be provided by Oceana Coffee.

You are asked to bring gloves, a bucket, closed toed shoes to help clean up the beach and help keep our beaches clean for the sea turtles and other Marinelife.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting two Lighthouse Sunset Tours this month of June.

During the tour, visitors climb the 105 steps to the top of the Lighthouse tower and see the spectacular views of Jupiter and the ocean. Visitors will even get a change to watch and see how the Jupiter Light turns on to light up the sky and get a tour of the Watch room to see how everything works.

The tours are approximately 75 minutes long and cost $20 dollars to attend and $15 dollars for Lighthouse Members. The Palm Beach Zoo is hosting their Safari Nights: First Fridays this Friday night, June 7th.

Come and enjoy the extended hours of the Palm Beach Zoo during their Summer Safari Nights. On the first Friday of every month during the summer, the popular zoo stays open late for you to explore the zoo, splash around in the interactive play fountain, explore the new Nature Play Pavilion, and much more.

During the summer, the First Friday Nights are themed and the first theme for this month is Superheroes. Where you can come and dress up as your favorite Superheroes for your chance to win one or several prizes.

Zoo Members receive free admission to Safari Nights. For non-member the price is $19.95 for adults and $13.95 for children ages 3 to 12 years old.

The Summer Concert Series is back at the Downtown at the Gardens this summer. The free outdoor concert series is kicking off on Friday, June 7th.

The musical lineup features a mix of great local and regional tribute bands that will be playing in the Downtown Park every Friday throughout the summer.

The concerts start at 7 pm and go until 10 pm. The concert series starts this Friday and the first band to play is Vertigo- Original Sin, a popular U2 and INXS Tribute band that will be playing all their hits.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their reoccurring Twilight Yoga at the Light several times this June. 

Come and experience the relaxation and serenity of Yoga on the Lighthouse Deck while watching the sunset and overlooking the water. The yoga class is taught by Mary Veal and all levels of yoga are encouraged and welcomed to attend. 

The class cost $10 dollars per person and you are asked to bring your own yoga mat, water bottle and a flashlight. The class will meet 10 minutes prior to the class start time. The classes are weather permitting so be sure to check their website for more information.

Today, marks the last day of school in Palm Beach County and the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is celebrating by hosting their School’s Out Bash tonight along with the Jupiter Hammerheads versus Daytona Tortugas baseball game.

The gates open for the game and the event at 5:30 pm tonight. The baseball game begins at 6:30 pm, click here for tickets.

The School’s Out Bash is a free family event hosted by the stadium and the Jupiter Medical Center. The event includes special giveaways, balloon sculpting, face painting, arts and crafts, a Teddy Bear Clinic and much more.
