Every Wednesday on Palm Beach, the Worth Avenue Association host weekly Walking Tours from December 2018 through April 2019.

The walking tours are led by Historian Rick Rose who leads a fun and exciting tour around Palm Beach in his brightly colored suits and hats. The tours last approximately an hour and fifteen minutes.

The tours cover everything from the history of Worth Avenue and the influence the avenue has in the world of fashion. The tour also covers facts about architectural design, Architect Addison Mizner and his monkey friend, and the development of the popular social scene in Palm Beach making the island the first destination spot during the Gilded Age and the birthplace of luxury brand names.

The 31st Annual Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center ArtFest By The Sea is coming to Juno Beach Saturday March 9th and Sunday March 10th.

The festival started three decades ago with just a few dozen booths selling artwork form local artists and are displayed along A1A in Juno Beach. This year, the festival returns with more than 300 national and international artists from more than 30 different states displaying their artworks and homemade crafts. The booths will be located along A1A and feature sculptures, woodwork, paintings, jewelry, wearable art and much more. Along with the art work being displayed there will also be a green market featuring live plants, produce, homemade soaps, and live entertainment.

District Fit is returning this spring for its third edition to downtown West Palm Beach after two successful editions. The fitness festival attracted over 1,500 participants last year and is expecting more people this year.

The festival is taking place Thursday, March 7th through Saturday, March 9th at the Hilton West Palm Beach and CityPlace. The goal of the festival is to promote a heathier lifestyle throughout the community.

The Sea Turtle Nesting Season officially began last week, and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is hoping for another record-breaking season. The season is March 1st through October 31st and the 9.5 miles of the beaches along Juno Beach are monitored daily. Juno Beach and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center support nearly 5 percent of the world’s loggerhead sea turtles.

Along the sandy shoreline in northern Palm Beach County, thousands of sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand. The sea turtle nests usually contain about 100 eggs each that requires 45 and 60 days to hatch. Because of this, Juno Beach is one of the most populated sea turtle nesting areas in the world. The Sea Turtle rehabilitation and research hospital in Juno Beach hosts many activities throughout the week and weekend. This Sunday the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting four family friendly events for you to check out.

Turtle Talk: is an interactive program geared to visitors 8 years old and older. The Turtle Talks feature a lecture style program designed to educate visitors about sea turtle biology, ecology, and conservation followed by a tour. The presentation will be 20 minutes long followed by two 5-minute discussions about the sea turtle rescues and rehabilitation. The program last about 30 minutes and run every Sunday until April. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their Lighthouse Story Time and Crafts for Kids on Tuesday, March 5th.

The event will take place under the Lighthouse Seminole Chickee Hut for story time and craft activities about Florida’s History, animals, people and local plants, and the Lighthouse Keepers. The event is aimed for children 8 years old and younger. The children are asked to bring a small blanket or picnic mat for the event.
