The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting a Fishing 101 For Kids next Saturday, January 19th from 10 am to 1 pm.

The new program is part of their new Family Adventure Day series and will feature family activities, sea- inspired educational events and adventures about Florida’s history. The day will include a meet and greet with important characters in Jupiter’s history, learning how to fish, story-telling, arts and crafts, live demonstrations, and much more.

Every Friday night, Downtown at the Gardens hosts its weekly concert series in the Centre Court from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

The free weekly concert series features a musical lineup of regional bands and local bands playing everything from pop, rock, jazz, country and everything in between. Seating is provided in the Centre Court for the concerts.

The Palm Beach Zoo has announced their special events and promotions that they added to their January calendar.

January’s Schedule:

Early Explorers: Feathered Friends for children ages 3-4 years old: This Saturday, January 12th, the Palm Beach Zoo is hosting an early explorer workshop designed for preschool aged children. The workshop includes an interactive educational experience that features stories, games, crafts, visits to animal habitats, and up-close animal encounters throughout the Zoo or their nature area. Art Palm Beach is back again in Palm Beach County for another season. Next week the art fair comes to the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.

The Annual fair is in its 22nd year and will feature more than 75 local and international galleries. The number is up from last year that featured 60 galleries. The fair is run by Next Level Fairs and they are reshaping the art fair concept for this year by connecting the exhibitors and collectors in new ways. Next Level Fairs are also the founders of Art Miami and Art Asia Hong Kong.

The pavilion will house animation art, video installations, pieces from collector Elayne Mordes of WhiteSpace Collection in West Palm Beach, and performance art by Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen in the FLOW pavilion.…

This Saturday, January 12th come and support your local park and the education center for the Jonathan Dickinson Social Fundraiser.

The Elsa Kimbell Center located at the park sees thousands of students and visitors each year and now the center needs to be updated. The Center educates visitors on the unique history of the state park and its 15 diverse natural communities. The center is now in its 12th year and needs to be updated to keep up with the times and the educational programs.

The new expansion for the Norton Museum is set to unveil its $100 million-dollar expansion on February 9th. The expansion will have 37 percent more gallery space and the architect is the same man, Lord Norman Foster, that designed the Apple headquarters in California.

The new design incorporates a lot of glass in its design and returns the museum to its original east and west axis. The entrance has been moved and visitors will now be able to enter on Dixie Highway near the giant 19-foot tall typewriter eraser sculpted by Coosje Van Bruggen and Claes Oldenburg in 1999. The museum is located at 1450 S. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach.

The Thursday night tradition continues tonight with the weekly Clematis By Night series in downtown West Palm Beach. The free outdoor concert on the waterfront has been running for 23 years with the area’s best food and drinks, bands, entertainment, special happy hour prices and much more.

Clematis By Night has been the hot spot for years and they have also added to their event by including an Antique and Flea Market that debuted in August of 2018. The market includes local vendors displaying a variety of crafts, antiques, clothes, and jewelry. The market will take place at the same time as Clematis By Night from 6 pm to 9 pm.
