As a group, humans tend to be fascinated with the idea of the future. Our imaginations offer plenty of room for ideas about where and how people will live in the future. On Monday, May 18th, Wycliffe Golf and Country Club in Wellington will host a "Fore the Community" marathon golf event. The event will be put on by the Seminole Region of the Florida Chapter of Club Manager's Association of America and will benefit the Special Olympics, SOS Children's Villages, and Toys for Tots. The goal for the CMAA is to raise $200,000 for the charities.

North Palm Beach resident Clancy Waugh shot an 8-under par 64 on Monday at Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart to earn Medalist honors and advance out of the Local U.S. Open Qualifier.

The Benjamin High School grad and current Wake Forest golfer earned himself a trip to the June 8th 36 hole Sectional Qualifier at the Bear's Club in Jupiter as the low medalist.

For Waugh, it's a little bit of redemption after a less than stellar sophomore season with the Demon Deacons. After being named Freshman Athlete of the Year and becoming only the 11th Wake Forrest golfer in win a tournament last year, in 2015, Waugh had finished no better than 40th and just a week ago missed qualifying for NCAA regionals by one shot.

The 13th Annual Great Loxahatchee River Race is Saturday, May 16, 2015 which will be hosted by Waste Water Management, Inc. and Florida Paddling Trails Association. On Friday, Admirals Cove held their annual U.S. Open Local Qualifying Tournament, where golfers looked to start their journey of making it to the U.S. Open.

84 golfers teed it up at the Jupiter club and five advanced to the next round of qualifying with Beon Yeong Lee of Canada earning Medalist honors. Lee shot a 64 to win the qualifier by two shots. Brett Stegmaier of Vero Beach and Ken Looper of Mandeville, LA tied for second, both shooting 66s. Armando Zarlenga of Argentina and Santiago Gavino of Austin, TX earned the final two spots with rounds of 67 and winning a 10 for 2 playoff. Should any of them not be able to compete in sectional qualifying, Brady Watt of Australia and Robbie Greenwell are the alternates.

Many that live in Jupiter, Florida are acquainted with the story of Henry Flagler’s railroad which converted to the Florida East Coast Railroad. The train depot served the public well for many years since the year of 1915!

The 22-by-53 foot historic train depot is now situated at Sawfish Bay Park in Jupiter with very close proximity to its original location and was famous for a stopping point throughout the early days of Flagler’s railroad. The proposal is to turn the 1915 Henry Flagler train depot into a museum and to be rented by civic groups, all this was endorsed on Tuesday by the Town Council. Golf.com conducted a survey with Tour pros on the PGA, Champions, and LPGA Tours. They provided them with anonymity and asked them some hard hitting questions. What we got was 100% honesty on everything from who will win more majors between Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy to would golfers vote for Hillary Clinton in the next Presidential election if she lowered taxes. Here are some of the highlights from the survey.

PGA Tour pros were asked "Who is more likely to win 19 majors: Tiger or Rory?" The Jupiter Island resident was given the upper hand on that one with 76% of the Tour pros surveyed thought Tiger would get to 19 first. Considering that Tiger currently has 14, while Rory only has four, I would tend to agree with them there.
