On the last Friday of each month, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium allows visitors and guests to attend their popular Nights At The Museum event.

The fun filled night is for the whole family and includes extended hours to explore and wonder through the Science Center and Aquarium. Each month is a different theme and since Halloween is at the end of the month, this Friday’s theme is Spooky Science.

The night will include a Liquid Nitrogen Live Science Show, haunted miniature golf and trail, Superhero and Villain Trivia, Dry Ice Boo Bubbles, Oozing Pumpkin demonstrations, challenges, crafts, entertainment, exhibits, and much more. The Indiantown Rodeo is galloping back into town this weekend. This rodeo has been named one of the top 20 events in the southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society. Presented by the Indiantown Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by U.S. Sugar.

The Indiantown Rodeo is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Women’s Pro Rodeo Association authorized event that features bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing and much more fun!

The kids will also enjoy the award-winning kids corral, which is packed full of activities that show local youth to the Agri-business environment. This is a free hands-on, interactive Rodeo experience.

On the third Saturday of every month, a group of volunteers from Blue Friends gather together on the beach for a Saturday morning Beach Clean Up on Juno Beach. 

The Clean Up lasts approximately an hour long and all are welcomed to come and help keep our beaches clean. You are asked to bring a bucket and gloves to help collect the debris and trash left on the beach.

Following the Beach Clean Up will be a light breakfast sponsored by Whole Foods Market in Palm Beach Gardens and Another Broken Egg Café in Jupiter. There will also be complimentary coffee by Oceana Coffee.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is hosting their ultimate fall activity this October. Fletch’s Fall Festival celebrates the changing of the seasons in South Florida.

Join in on the fun filled day to learn about the different impact’s humans have on the ocean and the changing behaviors that would help save our ocean. The goal is to help find a way to reduce our footprint on the environment.

The event is free and is for everyone to come and enjoy. The festival will include the celebration of the return of the Center’s winter programs, face painting stations, Vet Lab, interactive activities, ArtSEA kids painting, visits from Dr. Logger and a chance to meet the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s Mascot Fletch.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is preparing for another Sea Turtle Release this week.

Howard, an adult male loggerhead sea turtle was found in March near Fort Pierce with an unintentional boat strike to its back flipper, tail and marginal carapace. When the turtle was brought to the center, the wounds appeared to be a few days old. During Howard’s stay, the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center monitored the sea turtle’s progress and gave him antibiotics and fluids.

According to the calendar, Howard’s injuries were completely healed and has been cleared to be released back into the ocean this week.

The Downtown at the Gardens has teamed up with Big Dog Ranch for the second Annual Barks and Brew event.

Come and enjoy the event and listen to live music, drink beer and maybe even adopt a dog to take home with you. The cost of the ticket is $25 dollars and includes a wristband for unlimited beer and food samples from local restaurants and breweries. All proceeds from the event benefit the Big Dog Ranch Rescue.
