The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers a Public Guided Tour of the Sea Turtle Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. The tours are offered daily and visitors will get an up-close opportunity to see the sea turtles and Marinelife housed at the center.

The Guided Tours are opened to the public and all are welcomed to attend. The tours last approximately an hour long and is limited to 15 people due to space.

The tours are led by educational experts and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff who will be there to answer all your questions about Marinelife, the ocean and sea turtles.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their reoccurring Jupiter Climb and Paddle event this January.

The adventure starts with a climb to the top of Jupiter’s iconic red Lighthouse to see the incredible views of Jupiter and the waterways. To climb the lighthouse tower, you must be able to climb the 105 steps to the top.

Following the lighthouse tour, the Jupiter Outdoor Center will guide visitors by paddleboards and kayaks through the waters of the Jupiter Inlet and nearby waterways. Past events, visitors have often seen manatees, sea turtle, birds and other wildlife along the tour.

Join The Nature Conservatory in Florida staff this weekend at Blowing Rocks Preserve for a Shoreline Cleanup and do your part to help keep our beautiful sandy beaches clean. The Shoreline Cleanup’s are on the last Sunday of every month.

The Shoreline Cleanup will be guided by the Blowing Rocks crew leaders and participants will be guided through the trails and pathways along the shoreline of the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean to collect debris left on the beach.

All supplies will be provided for you to use and no registration is required to attend the Shoreline Cleanup. The cleanup is for all ages and those under 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult. You are asked to bring your own refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.

This weekend join the group of Blue Friends for a monthly Beach Clean Up in Juno Beach. The Beach Clean Ups are on the third Saturday of every month.

You are asked to bring your own bucket and garden gloves to collect the trash and help keep our beaches clean. The beaches of Juno Beach is one of the world’s most populated sea turtle nesting spots and where sea turtles call home.

The cleanup will begin at 8:30 am and last approximately an hour. Following the cleanup, a light breakfast will be sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts and there will be free coffee provided by Oceana Coffee. The cleanup will be cancelled if there is severe weather in the area.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their reoccurring monthly Ocean Explorers After Dark event for kids this Friday night.

Come and experience the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center after hours for a engaging opportunity and hands on experience for children to explore and experience the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The program is geared toward children ages 6 to 10 years old and each month the program will feature a different unique theme.

The night includes a tour of the Outdoor Sea Turtle Hospital, a chance to participate in interactive games and lessons and pizza. The event is a drop-off event only and the drop off time starts at 5:30 pm to 6 pm and pick up time is from 9 pm to 9:30 pm.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their first ever Hike20 this January. Hike20 will set foot on the ocean to lake hiking trail section of the Florida Trail.

Those who participate will join Hiking Trail Experts from the Florida Trail Association and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center Staff on a 3-day, 2-night excursion.

During the journey, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff Biologist and the Loxahatchee Chapter will guide guests through some of the most iconic ecosystems in South Florida.

The annual Winter Equestrian Festival starts this January at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington. Wellington is the home to the world’s premier winter equestrian event every year.

Each year participates range in age from 2 years old to 70 years old and more than 6,000 horses compete for more than a half a billion dollars. The Winter Equestrian Festival starts in early January and ends in late March. During the course of the three months, the festival is the longest and largest running horse show that sees some of the best riders of their class. Riders come from all 50 states and more than 52 countries and feature adult amateurs, juniors, children and Olympians.

This weekend, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their Hike Through History event.

The Hike Through History includes a 2-mile journey through the lighthouse’s 120 acres Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. Along the way, guests will learn about the history that was shaped by nature.

The program is open to adults and children. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 5 years old. Hiker footwear, active wear clothing, a hat and a full water bottle are recommended for the Hike. The Hike starts at the Museum’s flagpole and the event is weather dependent.
