Several times a year, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts their Paint N Drink parties. The Paint with a Purpose events benefit the ocean conservation and sea turtle research and rehabilitation center.

Paint N Drink is a mobile painting party planner that aims to bring fun and entertainment to everyone, no artistic experience is required to participate.

All are welcomed to attend and the class costs $25 dollars plus tax, per person. The cost of the class covers all of the supplies needed and the instructions of what will be painted. On Friday, the work of art will be creating painted wine glasses or draft glasses. The artwork to be painted is a sunset piece, and feel free to create your own sunset design on the glass.

The Town of Jupiter is hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th at the Jupiter Community Park softball fields. Join in on the fun of hunting and collecting as many Easter eggs as you can.

The Easter Egg Hunt is for the whole family and will include bounce houses, face painting, arts and crafts, visits from the Easter Bunny and much more. Food and beverages will be available throughout the morning for purchase.

Registration is now open for the 8th Annual Run 4 The Sea 2019. The run supports the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission of ocean conservation and sea turtle research and rehabilitation.

The run is a timed 4 mile run along A1A in Juno Beach and Jupiter. The race is Saturday, June 15th and is open to all runners and walkers who wish to participate. In addition to the 4-mile run there will be a 1-mile Kids Fun Run that will start at 8:15 am after the 4-mile run has started. The cost of the 1-Mile Kids Run is $20 dollars and it includes a child’s t-shirt and a finishers medal. Parents can either cheer on their child along the run or join in on the run for no additional charge.

The Sea Turtle Research and Rehabilitation Center has recently broken ground on their new 27,000 square foot expansion.

The Center’s new expansion will have more opportunities to educate the public and students, more opportunities for research and more space for the sea turtles rehabilitation progress. On Wednesday, April 3rd the center broke ground in front of more than 300 people in Juno Beach. The expansion is set to take three years.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center has raised more than $12 million dollars for the expansion through their Waves of Progress campaign. The center is continuing to raise money for the expansion and has now raised their goal to $20 million dollars.

Every Tuesday and Thursday the Pontiki boat sets out for a Sunset Cruise along the intracoastal waterways of Jupiter.

The pontoon Pontiki boat features a friendly captain that takes you to some of the best sightseeing spots in our area and stops along the way to find a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the water.

The sunset cruise take place on the boat Shaka, the newest and largest of the Pontiki fleet. The boat is a floating event venue that features all of the fun and Pontiki amenities including couches, a full bathroom, and can accommodate 40 guests. The Friends of Jupiter Beach are hosting a Beach Cleanup this Saturday. The Friends of Jupiter Beach has been organizing beach cleanups every month since 1994 and they are always on the first Saturday of the month.

Volunteers from more than 15 different area codes and all ages come to Jupiter to help remove the trash and recyclables from the beach. For those who attend and participate in the clean up there is always a continental breakfast and a “Thanks for coming” prizes.

The cleanup started when a small group of volunteers gathered together to pick up the trash from the beach, the cleanup now has evolved into over 200 volunteers every month. On average, more than 490 pounds of trash and recyclables are collected during the beach clean ups every month…

Brew At The Zoo is back again for another year and is coming to the Palm Beach Zoo this Saturday, April 6th. The annual event celebrates some of South Florida’s booming craft beer scene.

Visitors will walk through the Zoo and get a chance to sample some amazing beer from at least 25 of our local brewers, with 2 samples from each stop totaling more than 60 beers to try from. The beer at the event is beer brewed within 100 miles of the Palm Beach Zoo and the beer festival has the lowest carbon footprint in the Southeast.

This year will include new feature such as a new VIP area, new brew logo t-shirts, new food trucks and new beer pilsners, entertainment, games in the foundation, new admission times and extended event hours.

The Town of Jupiter is hosting their annual Coastal Fest 2019 this Saturday at Harbourside Place. The free family friendly event takes place along the intracoastal waterways on the Plaza down under The Riverwalk.

The coastal themed event features a kid’s treasure island filled with children’s activities, bounce houses, photo opportunities with a large pirate ship and pirates’ characters, local food vendors, beer and wine vendors, homemade crafts available for purchase and more.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a Kid’s Fishing Program every Saturday from October through April at the Juno Beach Pier.

Children who attend the fishing program will learn the basic fishing techniques including knot tying, casting, proper release protocols, and species identification. They will also learn about the conversation of the ocean, habit protection, sea turtle recuses, and the importance of collecting and recycling the fishing line.

The program runs on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 11 am at the Juno Beach Pier. The next one is this Saturday, March 30th. Registration is required due to limited space. The children who attend will leave the fishing program with the experience and knowledge needed to be a responsible angler.
