Street Painting Festival
Turning plain asphalt into a colorful, magical work of art brings the street festival to Downtown Lake Worth. The annual event, which is celebrating 21 years, Street Painting Festival 2015 is approaching on the signature weekend of February 21-22, and the art will last until the next raindrop washes the paint away.

Street Painting Festival involves more than 600 artists chalking up the roads and creating an inspirational canvas and beyond imaginary view of a temporary art museum. For two days, more than 100,000 art lovers will crowd and admire the creations on the pavement exposing the talents of true beauty.

South Florida Weather

Try something different and go stargazing!  Experience the natural beauty that is the South Florida night sky.  Stargazing is the simply the act of observing stars, moons, planets and other objects in the night sky.  Humans have been observing the stars for thousands of years.  All that is needed is a clear sky away from the bright lights of the city.  Aficionados bring charts, binoculars and telescopes to see distant stars and constellations.

Jupiter Medical Center announced it has received its largest ever donation! The $15 million gift was from the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation and the Lawrence J. and Florence A. De George Charitable Trust.  The donation will allow the Jupiter-based nonprofit hospital to develop pediatric services in a partnership with Miami Children’s Hospital.

Doctors at Miami Children's Hospital have been using “telehealth technology” to consult on patient care at Jupiter Medical Center for over a year. It is anticipated that the pediatric unit should be open by the end of 2015. The first phase will be a 12-bed pediatric unit at Jupiter Medical Center featuring an operating suite, a playroom and a “Bear's Den” for resting.
