The people who have owned property in Jupiter for generations have been drawn to this location for 100 years because of the small-town ambience and abundant blue waterways. Recently subdivided was a 160-acre property located at 16133 Jupiter Farms Road, Jupiter.  It had an extensive and fascinating history.  Back in the 1920’s, the rutted dirt main road was called Italian Farms Road because of the prevailing ethnic makeup of the area at the time. This Sunday, April 1st, Carlin Park in Jupiter is hosting the 12th Annual Wheels Across The Pond Car Show. The car show is one of the premier shows for British Classic Cars and Motorcycles in the state of Florida.

The Car Show has been continuing to grow since it started in 2007. This year more than 250 European and British Classic Cars will be in Carlin Park to view. Wheels Across The Pond is free for admission and the show accepts donations each year to raise money for Jupiter’s animal rescue center, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.

Every March, the largest LGBTQ pride celebration in Palm Beach County comes to Lake Worth’s Bryant Park. Formerly known as” PrideFest of The Palm Beaches”, it has been retitled this year to Palm Beach Pride. Only the name has changed, the festival remains the same. The  Palm Beaches’ largest LGBTQ event and a celebration of the community’s diversity within it. features live music, vendors, delicious food, parades, and more. Tomorrow Saturday, March 24th, the Downtown at the Gardens is hosting their annual Spring Fling event for the whole family. The Palm Beach Gardens outdoor shopping and entertainment center will host the event from 11 am to 1 pm in the Centre Court.

Two Palm Beach County cities have made the list of the “10 Best Places to Visit” done by Livability.com. Livability.com is a website that showcases some of the best cities to visit and live throughout the country. The website ranked more than 2,000 cities across the United States and both Boca Raton and Jupiter were ranked in the Top 10. Boca Raton and Jupiter were also the only two Florida cities to have made the list.

Jupiter is ranked number five and Boca Raton is ranked number seven. The website ranked the cities based on their relaxing and adventurous attractions in both cities.

A fun new tapas restaurant is coming West Palm Beach. The small-plate Spanish cuisine, Basque is set to open this Thursday, March 22nd at the historic Hotel Bida in the El Cid neighborhood. 

Hotel Bida is an historic inn built in 1929 by the famous architect Belford Shoumate and is an example of Bermuda Vernacular architecture. The hotel is one of the earliest motor lodges in the United States and has been included in the National Register of Historic Places.
