By expanding Florida’s school choice options, parents and students will be able to find an education solution that best fits their needs. The bill, which received generally positive support in both the House and Senate, will have many different effects on Florida’s education system.

Since August, 2006 an estimated 57,124 pounds of garbage has been removed from our beaches by Friends of Jupiter Beach volunteers. Friends of Jupiter Beach promotes the conservation of our beaches, encourages community awareness, engages in school partnerships, conducts monthly beach cleanups, and provides dog bag boxes at each beach crossover. While most household debris is collected curbside, other areas-such as road right-of-ways and vacant lots tend to collect unsightly, unsanitary debris that will continue to accumulate if not cleaned.

The third Sunday of the month, at 4:00 PM, students from local and neighboring high schools gather at Ocean Cay Park for a beach cleanup. The students are becoming the next generation of environmental leaders…
