Many of you may have wondered what the structure being built in the middle of Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach was going to be. As the construction went on, the gates around the site reviled that Restoration Hardware was planning on building a new gallery.

Restoration Hardware was previously housed in CityPlace on Rosemary Avenue in a much smaller location. By building this, the store is now one of 10 locations in the country, another location in Tampa, that features an all-in-one shopping experience for RH services such as RH Interiors, Modern, Outdoor, Baby & Child, Teen, Interior Design, and Hospitality.

Palm Beach's Worth Avenue has just ranked in the top 10 most expensive retail districts in the Western Hemisphere according to the 2017 Main Streets Across the World retail report by Crushman & Wakefield. In October 2017, Americans purchased homes at the fastest pace in a decade- a 6.2% monthly increase nationally, and a 16% monthly increase in Palm Beach County, according to the Florida Realtors Association.

Why are people buying?

One contributing factor could be the result of the national interest rate on 30-year fixed mortgages continuing to drop. Last week mortgage rates dropped from 3.95% to 3.92% in comparison to 4.03% in 2016 (National Association of Realtors). Historically, lower mortgage rates have helped drive home sales and those looking to refinance the market.

Tonight, after years of preparation and work, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held to reopen the renovated Palm Beach plaza. The event takes place in the east courtyard of the plaza at 5 pm.

‘The Royal’ is located on the intracoastal waterways, just over the Flagler Memorial Bridge in Palm Beach. Many of the tenants and locals are hoping that the new revamped plaza will become the anchor for Royal Poinciana Way and the north entrance to the island.

The walking tours are led by Rick Rose, who is dressed to impress for every tour in his colorful suits and hats fit for the Palm Beach lifestyle.

After a two-year hiatus, the FITTEAM Palm Beach Marathon is back for a weekend long full of events that consists award ceremonies, concerts, fireworks, expos and more throughout West Palm Beach.

The weekend long marathon starts Friday, December 1st with several warm up events leading up to the big marathon on Sunday, December 3rd.

For those not up for a full 26.2 miles, there will also be a 5K race on Friday, in addition to a half marathon, and a relay race on Sunday.

President Trump is returning to his home at the exquisite Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach for the holiday. He is expected to arrive today around 5:15 p.m. and stay until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 26th.
