The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting two Lighthouse tours this week. This Wednesday, April 17th, the lighthouse is hosting their reoccurring Lighthouse Sunset Tour and on Friday, April 19th the lighthouse is hosting their Lighthouse Moonrise Tour.

Lighthouse Sunset Tour:
Climb to the top of the lighthouse this Wednesday night and take in the spectacular view of Jupiter, the ocean and the incredible Florida sunset. You will event get a change to you’re the Lighthouse Watch room and watch the lighthouse turn on and illuminate the sky. The Town of Jupiter is hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th at the Jupiter Community Park softball fields. Join in on the fun of hunting and collecting as many Easter eggs as you can.

The Easter Egg Hunt is for the whole family and will include bounce houses, face painting, arts and crafts, visits from the Easter Bunny and much more. Food and beverages will be available throughout the morning for purchase.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” and The Loxahatchee River Center in Jupiter get together a few times a year to provide boating safety courses. The classes are aimed for young boaters, but all are welcomed to attend who wish to learn more about boating and water safety.

The classes are provided by the AustinBlu Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and promote educational programs and water safety.

The class is free, however there is a $10-dollar deposit required to hold and reserve a spot. The deposit will be returned in full at the end of the class.

Registration is now open for the 8th Annual Run 4 The Sea 2019. The run supports the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission of ocean conservation and sea turtle research and rehabilitation.

The run is a timed 4 mile run along A1A in Juno Beach and Jupiter. The race is Saturday, June 15th and is open to all runners and walkers who wish to participate. In addition to the 4-mile run there will be a 1-mile Kids Fun Run that will start at 8:15 am after the 4-mile run has started. The cost of the 1-Mile Kids Run is $20 dollars and it includes a child’s t-shirt and a finishers medal. Parents can either cheer on their child along the run or join in on the run for no additional charge.

The Sea Turtle Research and Rehabilitation Center has recently broken ground on their new 27,000 square foot expansion.

The Center’s new expansion will have more opportunities to educate the public and students, more opportunities for research and more space for the sea turtles rehabilitation progress. On Wednesday, April 3rd the center broke ground in front of more than 300 people in Juno Beach. The expansion is set to take three years.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center has raised more than $12 million dollars for the expansion through their Waves of Progress campaign. The center is continuing to raise money for the expansion and has now raised their goal to $20 million dollars.

Disney’s The Lion King is hitting the stage Wednesday, April 24th through Sunday, May 5th.
