Today is the first official day of the month of March and to many, March is a sign of spring and warmer temperatures especially those in the North. Luckily for us living in South Florida, the mild warmer temperature year-round makes it feel like spring and summer every day.

March is the third month of the calendar year and the month was named for the Roman god of war, Mars. In the early Roman calendar, March was the first month of the calendar year. Many years later, March became the third month after January and February were added.

Forbes Magazine wrote an article recently saying that West Palm Beach is the newest ‘Neighborhood to Watch’.  The city is often overlooked with its closeness to Palm Beach and Miami, but West Palm Beach is rapidly growing into the area’s most exciting neighborhoods.

Palm Beach International Airport has rebranded one of its lounges for travelers coming to and from Palm Beach County. The short-lived Primeclass Lounge has transformed into the Escape Lounge at the Palm Beach International Airport.

The Escape Lounge opened its door to travelers in the B Terminal, right after the TSA Security Checkpoint on December 9th. The new lounge will have the same luxuries as Primeclass Lounge plus more. Primeclass Lounge opened in January 2020 and closed its doors in early March. Now the former Primeclass Lounge has transformed into the Escape Lounge.

The Escape Lounge is open to all travelers for $40 dollars if booked in advance or $45 dollars if paid at the door. The fee gets you unlimited food and beverages, high speed

This holiday season, a rare ‘Christmas Star’ will light up the sky this month for the first time in 800 years. The rare shiny sighting will be visible from South Florida without a telescope and will kick off the winter solstice.

The timing lines up perfectly with the winter solstice meaning that December 21st is also the official start of the winter season. Luckily for us winter in South Florida consists of lots of sunshine and temperatures in the mid-70s to low-80s.

The last rare’ Christmas Star’ sighting happened in 1226, according to astronomers. As Jupiter and Saturn make their way around the sun the two planets will slowly grow closer together for the new few days until they are completely aligned according to NASA.  Planet alignments are rare,

Its that time of year again for the 2020 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. The popular boat show is in its 61st year and despite heat waves, hurricanes, and other natural causes throughout the years the annual boat show has never been cancelled.

While the number of exhibits has been slightly reduced, the show will still be the largest in-water boat show with over 1,000 exhibitors and over 1,300 boats on display to look at and tour. The boats on display range from pontoons, cruisers, fishing boats to superyachts and more. In addition to the boats, the show will feature marine products and accessories, exotic cars, brokerage yachts, and more.

Registered voters in the State of Florida have the opportunity to vote a few weeks early ahead of the 2020 Election. Early voting in Florida opens Monday, October 19th through Sunday, November 1st.  Hours and dates may vary based on where you live.

Early voting is when a person casts a ballot prior to Election Day at a location designated by the Supervisor of Elections. Early voting is required in any election that contains a state or federal office race. Early voting sites must be no earlier than 30 days prior to the election.

How to Vote Early:

Registered voter wishing to vote early must bring a valid photo identification and a signature identification.  Voters can vote at any early voting site within the county in which they live in.
