The Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee has added a new water park and it is now open for business. The new Safari Falls is a much anticipated 10,000 square foot water attraction that opened Wednesday, July 31st.

Safari Falls features a 550-gallon dump bucket that splashes water every 5 minutes, water slides and water cannons. The new attraction is included in the cost of admission to the park and is located in the original Safari Splash Playground which was mainly used by small children. The new attraction is three times the size of the original water area and can accommodate up to 300 guests at a time.

This month, the Downtown at the Gardens is hosting their free weekly Summer Concert Series on Friday nights.

The musical lineup features a mix of local and regional bands and tribute bands that perform in the Downtown Park from 7 pm to 10 pm. The bands play everything from pop, rock, reggae, country, 80’s hits and much more.

This month, the outdoor lifestyle and shopping center is hosting five Summer Concert Series.

This weekend the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is hosting a Hawaiian Luau during the Jupiter Hammerheads baseball game.

During the event there will be an authentic family-style Hawaiian dinner, specialty cocktails, Polynesian Dance performances from Mai-Kai, and a raffle to win two airplane vouchers for flights to Hawaii. Be sure to wear your favorite Hawaiian print shirt to the event.

This month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting several events for the whole family to enjoy.

Twilight Yoga at The Light: The class is led by Yoga Instructor Mary Veal and is open to all levels of Yoga. The class begins at sunset on the Lighthouse Deck and experience the serenity of Yoga while watching the sun set over the water. You are asked to bring your own yoga mat, a water bottle and a flashlight to the class. The cost is $10 dollars per person and the classes are weather dependent. The classes begin at 7 am on Monday’s and the dates at August 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.

This Thursday, August 1st the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is releasing a Sea Turtle back into the ocean. Pre-release procedures begin at 10 am with the Release beginning at 10:30 am.

The turtle being released is Vitti, a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle that was found in February in the Florida Power and Light St. Lucie intake canal. When the turtle came into the center, the turtle was underweight, lethargic, in poor health and the blood work showed anemia and hypoglycemia. After a few months of treatment and medicine, Vitti is now able to be released into the ocean.

Vitti will be prepared for release on Thursday at 10 am and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff will go over the turtle’s history and recovery. The sea turtle releases are weather…

The Downtown at the Gardens and the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum present a Kids Crawl this Wednesday, July 31st.

Families are invited to join in on the fun filled Kids Crawl as part of the Downtown at the Gardens monthly events. The Kids Crawl occur on the last Wednesday of the month and include free carousel rides, arts and crafts, children’s activities, games, family events, retails promotions and much more.

Each month there is a different theme, and the month of July is a “Pirates of the East Coast” theme and includes treasure maps, pirate flag decorating, pirate story time and more.

The Kids Crawl is a free family friendly event that starts at 11 am this Wednesday, July 31st in the Centre Court of the Downtown at the Gardens.

This Saturday, August 3rd, the Jupiter Medical Center is hosting their Loggerhead Triathlon at Carlin Park in Jupiter. The race starts at 7 am and the race will include a 3/8th mile ocean swim, 13-mile flat bike ride, and a flat 3.1-mile run.

The Jupiter Medical Loggerhead Triathlon is one of the longest enduring triathlons in Florida. The event dates back to 1985 and people from all over the county and state come to Jupiter to participate in the event. The event has become a must do event for the southeast race circuit in the United States. The triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event.

This Friday night, the Palm Beach Zoo is hosting their reoccurring summer event, Safari Nights: First Fridays.

On the first Friday of the month, the zoo stays open late for extended hours for you to explore the exhibits, enjoy the new Nature Pavilion, splash around in the interactive play foundation and much more.

The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society is hosting their reoccurring summer event on Saturday, July 27th. The event is Roar and Pour: Play it Again and will feature a Luke Bryan Tribute Band.

During the event, the entire Zoo will be open later for you to explore after hours. The Summer Grill opens at 5 pm with burgers and hotdogs, there will also be a Tiki Bar and a tribute band starting at 6: 30 pm.

Those who attend are welcomed to bring their own chairs and blankets to sit back and enjoy the food and music. Guests can leave their blankets and chairs near the foundation if they wish to explore the zoo after hours.
