The popular Downtown Palm Beach Gardens is hosting a new Summer Concert Series every Friday evening beginning this June through the end of August. The new Concert Series will be held outdoors at the newly remodeled Downtown Park.

The outdoor summer concerts begin at 7 pm on Friday nights and restaurants located within the Downtown are joining in on the series and offering special dining deals and discounts. The bands performing are local and regional bands playing the latest hits, rock, jazz, pop, reggae, soul, country, and everything in between.

On Wednesday evenings, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts their weekly Lighthouse Sunset Tour. The tour is a chance for locals and visitors to witness the incredible sunset view from the top of the lighthouse.

Gather your friends and family and head to the Jupiter Lighthouse tomorrow evening and witness the sunset and watch the light turn on to illuminate the sky. Visitors on the tour will get a sneak peek inside the Lighthouse Watchroom to see how everything works.

Tickets are required for the event and costs $25 dollars per person or $20 dollars per Lighthouse Member. The tours last approximately an hour.

What started off as mostly a volunteer service, has evolved into a force to be reckoned with. The June 14th event is being commemorated with the annual wreath laying in Washington, D.C. including the Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff and Sergeant Major.

Major changes can soon be coming to the Downtown Palm Beach Gardens shopping and entertainment center. Last week, Palm Beach Gardens City Officials approved the first reading of two ordinances that could bring an apartment building and a hotel to the shopping and entertainment complex.

The City Officials gave the preliminary approval to a zoning change and a land-use amendment for the 49-acre site. The changes will allow for a mix of uses on the land that is now designated for business buildings. The site’s owner wants a land-use designation change to mixed-use from professional use. The site’s owners are also asking to rezone the property to general commercial and professional office space.

This upcoming Father’s Day weekend, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center will be hosting their 10th Annual Run 4 The Sea. The run is to help raise awareness and raise money for endangered sea turtles and for ocean conservation. This year, the race will be a little different than previous years. The Run 4 The Sea is going virtual, and runners will get to pick its location.

The run, even though virtual, will still benefit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission to promote the conservation of the ocean’s ecosystems with a special focus on endangered and threatened sea turtles. Every month, the Loxahatchee River Center in Jupiter pairs up with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide a series of Boating Safety Course aimed for young boaters in our community. The classes are aimed for young boaters however, all are welcomed to learn more about safety on the water.

The next Boating Safety Class is happening this Saturday and Sunday and the course is completely virtual. The class will be online and taught in a lecture style class. The two-day class is free to attend but a deposit of $10 dollars is asked to hold your spot in the class. The deposit will be returned once the course is over. Jupiter’s Downtown Abacoa is preparing for a busy upcoming weekend filled with baseball, outdoor dining under the stars, and food trucks.

Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, June 10th, the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is hosting three baseball games this weekend in Jupiter.  The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is home to two Minor League Baseball Teams, The Palm Beach Cardinals and The Jupiter Hammerheads.
