The Juno Beach Fishing Pier is a popular attraction in Palm Beach County for local fishermen and tourists for fishing and photos of the view.

The 990-foot-long fishing pier is a T-shape that offers visitors a full-service Pier House and great salt-water fishing. The Pier House at the beginning of the pier is filled with a guest service team, bags of ice, a gift shop, snacks, drinks, and various fishing gear. Since 2010, the State of Florida requires that any person who wishes to operate a vessel with more than 10 horsepower and is born after January 1st, 1988, must complete and pass a boater safety course.

Florida does not have a “Boating License” but a Boater Safety Education Identification Card is proof of a successful completion of the course and exam. Good news for you is that the Identification Card is valid for life and requires no follow up courses or renewal fees. You are just asked to review your notes to keep up with the boating rules and regulations.

This weekend, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting a Back to School BioBlitz event. BioBlitz is a science effort to record as many species as possible within a designated location in a short period of time.

This Saturday, the Marinelife Center is hosting the event for everyone to enjoy. The morning will be filled with fun activities to identify local marine species for science. The family friendly event begins at 8 am to 11 am this Saturday, September 7th at Coral Cove Park in Tequesta.

For the entire month of September on weekend only, Friday through Sunday, kids under the age of 13 will receive a free entry to the Zoo with a paid adult. The offer begins on Sunday September 1st and goes until Monday, September 30th.
